• Favorite Part of the Job: Kaitlyn shared that she has always been drawn to helping those who have experienced trauma. She shared that she is honored to walk alongside survivors at any point in their journey, holding hope for them when they may not be able to hold it for themselves.
• Outside Interests: Outside of work, Kaitlyn enjoys spending time with friends and being out in nature—especially hiking, camping, and kayaking. She also loves music, reading, and creative outlets.

As the After Hours Crisis Response Advocate, Kaitlyn will help ensure survivors have access to crisis support around the clock, providing advocacy and care when it is needed most. Before taking on this role, Kaitlyn was a dedicated volunteer victim advocate supporting survivors for many years with the Sexual Assault Center.

• Outside Interests: Jane enjoys reading, listening to podcasts, spending time with family and friends, and spending time with her cats.

Jane brings over 5 years of clinical experience to Child and Family Services. Her entire professional career has been spent supporting survivors of either sexual or domestic violence. Jane has a passion for supporting survivors and their families through all stages of their healing and brings a trauma-informed lens to the work she does. Her previous work both as a victim advocate and a clinician within the Sexual Assault Center allow her to prioritize dignity, worth, and compassion when supporting the Sexual Assault Center’s mission.

• Outside Interests: Mishelle enjoys reading, cooking, and crafting.

Mishelle has several years of experience working with survivors of trauma. She has experience working with LGBTQIA+ individuals, as well as teens and adults of any age. She works to provide client-centered care with every session.

• Background: Evelyn brings to her position many years of experience supporting survivors of intimate partner violence and sexual assault. She has a strong history working with underserved populations. Her work has spanned shelter settings, classrooms, and communities; but has always been rooted in advocacy, compassion, and a deep respect for the resilience of those she serves
• Favorite Part of the Job: Evelyn shares that she sees it as a privilege to walk alongside survivors throughout their healing and justice process, and feels incredibly grateful to be a part of it. Evelyn hopes to continue supporting survivors as they access the power that they already hold within themselves.
• Outside Interests: Evelyn enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and their son (especially on the water and in northern Michigan!)

As the Legal Advocate at C&FS, Evelyn’s focus is supporting sexual violence survivors and their families through the criminal justice process, both physically and emotionally. It is important that victims know and understand their rights while also being prepared for any court hearing they may participate in. Evelyn offers guidance, advocacy, and support every step of the way ensuring that survivors are informed and never feel alone.

• Favorite Part of the Job: Allison values having the opportunity to train volunteers to be victim advocates and celebrate their success in offering stability and safety to victims of sexual assault as they endure the evidence-collection process.
• Outside Interests: Allsion enjoys visiting craft breweries with her partner, making music with friends, spending time with her dog, gardening, quilting, and D&D.

As the Crisis Services Coordinator, Allison provides direct crisis intervention services to victims of sexual assault, manages a team of volunteer victim advocates, nurtures the Sexual Assault Center’s relationship with partner programs such as the Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) team, and coordinates the community Sexual Assault Response Team (SART). Allison helps to ensure that victims of sexual assault in Saginaw County receive a comprehensive, trauma-informed, victim-centered, coordinated response at every level of care.

• Background: Jennifer brings more than 12 years of experience, and a heart deeply rooted in trauma-informed care.
• Favorite Part of the Job: Jennifer shared that the favorite part of her job is that she often has the opportunity to leave others in a better place than when she originally connected with them. Also she shared her desire to always create a space where survivors feel safe and welcomed – a space where they can relax, breathe, and focus on their healing journey ahead.
• Outside Interests: Outside of work, Jennifer is a proud fur mama to her chihuahua, Manny, and enjoys creative outlets like painting and diamond dots.

As the Sexual Assault Services Advocate, Jennifer provides crisis intervention, advocacy, and compassionate support to survivors and their loved ones while also helping raise awareness and strengthening education efforts regarding sexual violence across our community.

• Education: Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Criminal Justice from Saginaw Valley State University.
• Favorite Part of the Job: Jess values having the ability to provide support to victims and offering aid to survivors in any way she is able.
• Outside Interests: Jess enjoys reading, spending time with friends and family, traveling (mainly to Disney World), and learning new things or information about the world around her.

Jess joined the Sexual Assault Center team at Child & Family Services as the Victim Services Specialist with the Saginaw Police Department. Prior to this position, Jess worked in various roles at Bay Area Women’s Center and Saginaw Psychological Inc. Jess is excited to be part of the team and to provide support to fellow community members.
